Idaho Student Information Management System

The ISIMS Project, as originally envisioned, has been cancelled. The announcement was made in December, 2004 that the project would not be funded to completion. It had turned out to be more expensive than planned.

The Original Plan:

ISIMS (Idaho Student Information Management System) is a statewide system that is currently being developed. This web-based system will provide a wide variety of resources and tools for teachers, schools, parents and students.

Examples:

For Teachers:
- Curriculum and Lesson Plans
- Wealth of standards-based resources
- Attendance and Grade Book
- Tools for using assessment data to guide classroom instruction
- Tools for communicating with parents and students (homework and assignments, progress reports, announcements)

For Parents and Students:
- Monitor progress and attendance
- Access to homework and assignments
- Calendar and announcements
- Subject-based resources

For Schools and Districts:
- Student registration and course scheduling
- Special Education support
- Student management
- Performance and comparison data
- Complying with NCLB requirements
